Food for thought...

Btw I would love to read your password protected posts if I'm still allowed ;-)

Your email address disappeared off my system, though, in my great computer wiping session.

It's a lot easier to become a Tesco shareholder than it is to get a representative politician elected.

Well said. I find it strange when people complain so much about the government holding information about us (see debate about ID cards, etc, etc) and then happily hand over their clubcards. It's Tesco and their like we should be really worried about. At least the public sector is theoretically responsible to us; Tesco's only responsibility is to maximise shareholder return.

Facebook makes me smile, though - I too get the supposedly targetted ads with my age in, but also plenty of details of companies in quite the wrong part of the UK. Facebook hasn't noticed that the town where I work isn't the only one with that name.

I sort-of applied for a Tesco clubcard at my temporary address (where all the bills are in somebody else's name - should be hard to track me down there!) in order to take advantage of a one-off deal on delivery. I decided I'd never use the card again but seeing as it never arrived that won't be too tricky. Still haven't managed to jump through enough hoops to stop them sending me junk emails though.
